Rufus is also freeware, Joya. :)

I'm getting ready to create an ISO from ESD and then, using Rufus, I'll create the USB stick. I'll time myself, just to see how long it takes.
It would be great if either Rufus or ISO2Disc can create a bootable USB directly from ESD file. This can save a lot of time.

I just mount the iso in Explorer and copy and paste the files over to the thumb drive.

@Brink if people want to use option two(I wouldn't know why but..) RUFUS is up to version 2.4 now.

    http://rufus.akeo.ie/

    Version 2.4 (2015.09.27)
    • Allow some settings and cheat modes to be persisted between sessions
    • Fix multiple issues with flash drive detection
    • Fix listing of drives that contain no media
    • Fix cheat mode to save the current USB to uncompressed VHD(Alt-V)
    • Fix an UI scaling issue with high DPI displays for non English languages
    • Update most of the translations
    • Additional cosmetic improvements

Complete newbie here. Just built my own PC and am kinda confused on which step to use. One questions step one formats your USB drive and makes it bootable correct? So right after step one I am good to go for installing on my fresh pc?

Hello Matt, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

If you mean after doing OPTION ONE, then yes, you will be able to boot from the USB afterwards to do a clean install.
