OK, I attempted that option, and I may have accidentally clicked the Startup Repair button. Now it's telling me it's fixing disk errors and it tells me it may take over an hour to complete. Now I'm a little worried because previously this option did nothing and I don't know what it will do like will it change my personal files or something?
EDIT: ok never mind, it's over now and nothing changed.

That's correct. Are you then able to select to refresh Windows picking up at step 2 in OPTION ONE below?

In that case, you may need to clean install instead.

If you didn't delete your Windows.old folder and it hasn't been over 30 days since you upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, then you go back to your previous Windows installation.
