I merged it, and rebooted, then I merged the one from this tutorial, another reboot, and tested it, and it's working as it should !

The following two lines of commands will do the job.
    Code:
    (Reg delete "HKCR\DesktopBackground\Shell\Shutdown" /f)
    (Reg delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CommandStore\shell\AdvancedOpt ions" /f)
@JAY B, you may run the above lines via PowerShell (Admin) or Elevated Command Prompt or copy them into a CMD/batch script.

I rarely use REG files, if ever.

He has already run the REG file it worked, and applied the new one, see here . . .

Plus, he wanted a REG file so as to keep along with the original OLD REG file!

    He is a happy bunny.

With my code posted above, he will know what to do when a similar situation arises next time.

I feel like it might be a good idea to add a warning to Option SIX. A lot of the times the system is doing something, writing to disk, etc during the boot process and a bad forced shutdown could corrupt the bootloader, ending up with something worse off than when they started. A lot of guides that say this seem to suggest force shutdown during the spinning dots, which to my knowledge is after the bootloader is found and is currently loading the OS into memory or writing variables (If this is wrong please correct me)

Agreed. A hard reboot should always be the last resort.

Re Option 6, followin"see advanced repair options" should the screen change to allow entry of regedit ?

My screen keeps returning to Local Standard User for password to re-open Windows 10.

Have I missed the boat and need to keep trying to get the "Hyper-VTM ten forums.com Please wait" screen ?

    Hello,

Are you able to use any of the other options to boot to Advanced Startup?
