No problem. Yep, that would be for "English". :)
Ok just for clarity my computers 8.1 Pro 64 bit are all set up with out MS Account. Upgrading to 10 I wish to maintain Local account only. Cloud stuff don't work for me as I work remotely where internet is not assured or very good if available. I believe Bink stated somewhere in this thread that 10 can be set up/upgraded to using only Local Accounts?
Hello Clinton, :)
When you upgrade to Windows 10, your accounts will remain the same.
If you should do a clean install of Windows afterwards, then you will be able to use step 20 below to setup Windows with a local account.

Brink
i need thank you for putting this tutorial up, i had signup for the Win10 update but never got anything till i went to
tutorial and D/L the link you set up
thanks again
P.S.
been with this forum since Win Vista
Thanks for the tutorial and all the different options. I registered for the upgrade but also downloaded the ISO to create a DVD so I have a hard copy somewhere off my HDD. One thing I noticed in the upgrade pictures was that it appears that once the upgrade is downloaded through the Reservation tool/Windows Update that the only option is the install now or schedule a time. Can I cancel or indefinitely defer the install at that point? My current Win7 Pro installation has the user folders and program data moved to another drive, so I know I will have to move things back first, so I want to wait until I have some vacation time to spend a few days on it if needed.
I am guessing that since I downloaded the ISO that I can cancel my reservation and still use the ISO to upgrade for free, but I wanted to check with people who have already gone through the process to make sure. I am hoping that cancelling the reservation does not cause issues with upgrade activation.
Hello mennopython,
As long as you upgrade to Windows 10 Pro before July 29th 2016 for the free offer, it doesn't matter which option you use to upgrade from within your activated Windows 7 Pro. :)
Hi All
I am in the process of upgrading from W8 pro to W10 pro and want to install off-line.
Just wonder if anyone of you has gone this way and specifically look at the option on page 6.
I would be keen to hear befor I get into it.
If you think this post is not appropriate here, just remove/relocate. Thanks
Hello Kiwig,
You would need to upgrade with an internet connection so that your Windows 10 will be activated and registered with your PC. Plus, you will not be able to setup a Microsoft account during Windows Setup without an internet connection.
I'm not sure what option you are referring to at that link since it's not clear there.
For clarification I have c/p it here(credit #aakkam):
the W10 eng downlaod link is here
1. Create a desktop on your folder, and call it Win10
2. In the folder for which you provided the screenshot above, double-click the file 7zFM
3. 7-Zip will now open. Navigate through 7-Zip to the file you downloaded, highlight it, and click the blue extract button near the top of the window.
4. 7-Zip will now ask you where to extract the file. Click the three dots to browse for a folder, and select the folder you created on your desktop in step 1 called Win10. Click OK.
5. Click OK to extract the files. When they're done, go to the folder on your desktop you named Win10, and double-click setup.exe to start Windows 10 setup.
