    Greets,
I found out that after making in-place upgrade from Win 8 SL to Win 10 SL on an OEM (hp) laptop. My BIOS OEM Key was not used to activate Win 10. So, I can now have a dual boot of both on the same laptop for free ( 1 + 1 = 2 licenses )

    ProduKey

    Thanks. ...
    Hello,

That would be fine if W8 and W10 each have their own legal digital license or product key.

Otherwise, you may find one or both no longer activated at some point.

    Upgrade Failed with Option 4

I have a Dell Inspiron 3650 with the latest BIOS, a 500 GB SSD C: drive with 50% free space, and 16 GB memory. The OS is currently Win 10 Pro 21H1. Recently Windows Update has been failing with error code 0x800700c1. I've tried fixing it SFC but it errors out. Looked at some DISM fixes but they error out. Finally decided to go with the Option 4 reinstall to keep apps and data. I disabled AV and Firewall, uninstalled Samsung Magician, and gave it a try. Things went well with this up through the point where it says the following.
    Upgrade to Windows 10-image.png
Then before it restarts I get the following failure message.
    Upgrade to Windows 10-image.png

This has now happened twice which I think is the reason System Config shows the following extra NewOS entries.
    Upgrade to Windows 10-image.png
Any thoughts where I can look for the failure cause? I really don't want to do a full reinstall of Windows, Apps, ...

    Thanks
