For once I am being thorough and organised. It must be something I ate .

Well at first the upgrade just wouldn't work at all. Then I remembered that I had used Shawn's reg fix to stop the OS upgrading and once I'd reset that all went smoothly. The download was pretty quick; a couple of issues trying to avoid using Express Settings, but now all seems to be working okay.

So the next thing is to do a new System Image of the new W10 installation...

Hi @Fish62858 welcome to Ten Forums, a repair install or as it's also called, Upgrade installation, only makes changes(repairs) system files.

One addition to last post: It also repairs the Windows Store and Universal Apps.
