    Great news.

It's not uncommon to have some things reset back to default when updating to a new build of Windows 10.

New here, tried the tutorial with build 17677. Was the bcedit command removed? Command prompt says file not recognized or is not a batch file.

Hello pheld, and welcome to Ten Forums.

You may have made a mistake in the command. Please go ahead and post a screenshot showing the command in the command prompt to see if anything may stand out.

    Hello Eddie,

it looks like you are following Option Two.

If so, you will need to substitute identifier in the bcdedit /set {identifier} bootmenupolicy Standard command with the actual identifier (ex: {current}) from step 3 for your default OS.

I'm going to give that a try, can you still get to the advanced screen by holding down the shift key when rebooting? I'm running Windows 10 64
