I used Rufus
You might try creating the USB again with another official Windows 10 ISO file to see if it may have just been some unknown issue the first time preventing it from booting.
In addition, you might also see if you may be able to use Option 1 to boot from the USB.
I think I ran into a great problem, I don’t have access to windows anymore because of the startup repair error but still have win 10 on my usb drive.
Btw when I select “usb : usb drive name” before UEFI it just boots to normal win 7
Do you have a multi-boot system?
If needed, you can create the USB on any computer (ex: friends) to use on your computer.
I was trying to update my win 7 32 bit to win 10 64 bit.
Also yeah I think that’s the last option
What are your full system specs? This way we can double check to make sure it supports a 64-bit W10.
What happened when you were trying to update to W10?
What happens when you restart the computer without the USB connected? Does it continue to boot to W7?
Hey I used a program to identify whether my cpu was capable for 64 bit and yeah it’s capable of it, I have a crappy pc with some intel HD graphic card and pentium g2010 2.8ghz.
Also 1 time I was actually able to boot with my usb but then I got the error “windows can not be installed to this disk the selected disk has an mbr partition table.” But later I changed the settings in Rufus and now it doesn’t even work when I click it.
Yes it boots to windows 7 until I press f11( to open the bios) and again when I select my usb nothing happens.
It’s an asrock motherboard
