Is it because your Taskbar setting has not been changed to suit your preferences? Go to PC Settings and then Taskbar. There are special options for multiple displays.

Also, if browser windows open other than full size, then you will see part of the desktop which could be as small as just a line.

The browser windows are only full size. And its all (3) browsers Firefox, Chrome, And Edge. I don't even use Edge I just opened it to see if it would work or not and it also shows the thin line on the secondary monitor.

And I even tried to open the Windows Notepad full screen and that dose not stretch over to the other monitor its just the (3) browsers. And it is annoying.

I don't know how to change the size of the opening of the browsers. Multiple Displays - Change Settings and Layout in Windows 10-dual-monitor-problem.jpg The wallpaper with the (Black) around it is the laptop monitor. And the other one is the secondary monitor if you look at the bottom of the monitor you will see the line from the top of the browser. But there are (3) buttons minimize, Change Size - Full Size, and Close. I even tried to adjust the size myself by clicking the middle button and trying to use the double arrow and making it full screen and then closing Firefox and then reopening Firefox and it did not work. I thought maybe the text was to big in Firefox or something and that was why the browser was hanging over and then I tried the Chrome browser and I never messed with those setting before. And I even tried Edge a browser I never even use and same issue. And the line is the same size for all (3) browsers. I just don't know what to do.

And yes I did tinker with the taskbar its fully transparent plus it dose not show up on the secondary monitor. And the other programs open fine. Plus I just checked and adjusted the size of Firefox and there is no large header section or border above the tabs area and still it hangs over the secondary monitor. I don't know if there is a way to use a addon or if there is something I can do to make my browsers fit just the screen size of my laptop. I''m still pretty new to using dual monitor on my laptop.

I wonder if we are talking about different things?
First, have you setup up your multiple displays using the -PC Settings >>> Display- process.
Second, there is a link there called Setting up multiple monitors. Check that you have done that correctly.

Okay here is what I have I have inside the "Rearrange Your Displays" 2 monitors 1 which is the main monitor on the laptop is smaller and then the secondary monitor is larger and it is called monitor 2. When I click on "Identify" it shows number 1 on the laptop monitor and 2 on the secondary monitor. But when I click on "Detect" it says "Didn't detect another display". Could this be the issue.

    Plus the sizes are:

Monitor (1) Scale and layout (100%) recommended, Display Resolution (1366 X 768) - (Recommended), (Landscape), Multiple Displays (Extend These Displays).

Monitor (2) Scale and layout (100%) Recommended, Display Resolution (1920 X 1080) Recommended, Landscape, Extend these displays.

I even tried to slide the monitor 2 up a little and that didn't work ether. I know I can move it from side to side and then the mouse moves as well.

Example if I want to place the monitor above the laptop screen I can but to have the mouse move off the screen from the top of the laptop screen I need to make sure the monitor 2 is above the monitor 1.

The only issue I am having is the 3 internet browsers are opening to large.

Is there at all a way to find out how big the actual window is opening up as.

I took the monitors in the settings>Display area and moved them from 1 on bottom to 2 on top to 1 left 2 right. But I still have the second monitor on top of the laptop monitor so is there a work around to make it so I can move the mouse up from the top of the laptop monitor to enter the bottom of the second monitor. Without tinkering in the display area. Because if I move the 2 on top of the 1 again. I have the line back up on the second screen again. Is there another way to change how the mouse enters the second screen.

The setting page you are using is for displays that are BOTH connected to the SAME computer. You are not able to use the multiple display detect method when you don't have different monitors connected. Usually you need a graphic card that has two distinct outputs available. If you have, then I assume the graphic card itself needs configuring.

I have a desktop that supports two monitor outputs (the second one is HDMI) and the method works fine on that once I had sorted out all the necessary options!

I believe there is a method via Remote Desktop you might need if the above problem applies, but someone else should be able to give you information about that.

There is a tip on an MS help page that suggests a way of getting two displays connected. Refers to a TV but should work :-
"If you're using a wireless display adapter, connect to an HDMI port on newer TVs, then wirelessly connect your PC to it. After connecting your wireless display adapter to your TV, go to your Windows 10 PC and select Start > Settings > System > Display, then select Connect to a wireless display."
