    Happy New Year!
After reinstalling windows ver. 1909, I ran the file and it worked, however, it stopped working sometime later in the same day. I ran the reg file again and it's not working at all. Is there maybe a new twist on this fix? Please help us out over here. Thanks Brink!

    Hello mate,

Just to verify, did you restart the explorer process or sign out/in to apply?

Did you make any other changes or have any 3rd party tweaking type programs installed that could affect this setting?

I've used OOAPB to delete some crapware from windows and i adjusted some settings to make things bigger and installed the old version of windows photo viewer. Thats all i can think of.

I tested on my system, and it appears using 30 seconds doesn't make much difference, but using a lot higher made the thumbnails no longer appear when hovering the pointer over their taskbar icons.

So then, setting it to 10,000ms is good or set even higher? Would you mind terribly sending us a 'new and improved' .bat file so we don't have to chance messing up our registry?

No problem. Here's a .reg file below to set a 10000 milliseconds ExtendedUIHoverTime.

You'll need to restart the explorer process or sign out/in to apply after merging the .reg file below.

So far so good! What a relief to not have to go into the registry myself :) So good to have you guys here to help with these things. Can't thank you enough.

We may approach you with another, even bigger, annoyance, if that's okay.

    You da man,
    Kevin
