It would be nice if Microsoft would have this option available to change in Settings instead of having to do so via the registry.

This would be something good for everyone to send feedback for.

There is always an issue with any complex software - "How much bloat is acceptable?" it could be that something we as a user find indispensable, but if it's only used by a tiny percentage of the total user base, will be removed from the front end of the system to make it cleaner for the vast majority.

I have often used the adage when discussing applications like Word, "a normal user will access around 20% of Word's features" but also "each user will likely use a different 20%"

From a developer's Point of View it's always going to be a difficult decision, but if telemetry and direct feedback show that an option is hardly ever used then it makes sense to remove the option, (at least Microsoft will usually provide a more complex "deeper" access to the same option),

An example of this .... Microsoft Fax is still included in Windows 10 - when was the last time you used a fax machine - for me It was probably back in Vista days - I could have opted for a Multifunction Printer device that included a Fax machine earlier this year when replacing my existing one - I did not bother as it would not serve any purpose, if someone has a need to receive information from me by Fax I can email a service and cover it that way, so as long as the option is still possible I'm covered ( Microsoft Fax does not cover me because I have not had a fax Modem in any system for many many years )

    Aaaaah!!!!

When I only had my one 1080p screen, all the text reg files worked great.
    11 bold and 10 bold

Now I just applied them, while I have a mixed dual monitor set up(1080 & 4K), and the result is this:

I'm running DISM & SFC right now and hoping to revert it all back:

    It didn't work

I'll try the default reg files, and hope I can read something at all after.
Shawn, maybe a warning to mixed monitor set up users???

    Cliff,

Did you try different sizes to see if one would look better?

If you like, creating a system restore before making changes like this will allow you to quickly undo them without the need for 3rd party software.

Yep, tried different ones and got worse, but now it's already fixed.
I stopped trying to use system restore back in the Win7 days, it never worked right for me, I just use Shane's Registry Backup, takes one second(when using an SSD) and a restart.

Some inconsistencies like this may be why Microsoft decided to remove these settings.

    Sounds about right to me.
Microsoft has had some problems implementing 4K, and having mixed monitor just makes things worse.

I had to uninstall Clover(Chromium based tabbed browsing add-on for File Explore) on this PC, because of mixed font sizes.
the address bar and Details Pane fonts were huge, while the icon text was normal, not matter which monitor I place FE on.
