    Hello Gerry, :)

Using the method below should work best for that.

Clean Install Windows 10 Directly without having to Upgrade First

Installed the way you mentioned, but after several reboots, I get no activation... Should I look for the win 7 key and enter it in 10?

    Gerry,

Was the Windows 7 activated when you created the GenuineTicket.xml file?

Was the edition of Windows 10 you installed for the correct upgrade path from your Windows 7?

ex: Windows 7 to Windows 10 Pro = No
Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro = Yes

Yes to both questions, I had checked before removing drive to see if it was activated and it was, so not sure why it wont activate now.

You could try entering the Windows 7 Pro key, but I'm not sure it'll activate or not since Windows 10 was never activated on the PC yet to have a digital entitlement.

Worse case, you may need to install and activate Windows 7, and upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.

Ok thats what I might do, though I did go looking for the Keys and cant seem to find the dvd case with the key, I have the PC name written on the case. I have the two other, but not this one. Although there is another dvd case with a win 7 key that has no writings on it, it might be that one lol

I'll have to check tomorrow, worst case I will use the key from one of the other two, since I am parting them out.

    thanks

Does this erase hidden and remapped sectors Shawn? I think that the Diskpart command, Clean All, fulfills that.
