Hello Brink, thanks for your quick reply!
Yeah, i knew how to disable Secure Boot on the Maximus VII Hero, there was an option like "Delete Keys" or "Unload Keys" (cant remember anymore), but on the Maximus VIII Hero there is no such option and the Enable/Disable "button" is greyed out. I am kinda confused

Disable CSM first if not already, then see if you have the option to disable Secure Boot.

Ok, disabling CSM did not work, but instead i deleted each key separately and now the "Secure Boot state" is Disabled. Thanks! :)
P.S. For some reason i cant see my attachments (screenshots)

    Nice!

I created a USB/thumbdrive W10 install from these tutorials and then this tutorial was exactly what I needed.
The only thing is that I did not get the 3rd/MSR partition mentioned (below)? System works great though and I now have a Clean Install. Wonder why?

    Many thanks!

Windows Setup will automatically create the 4 partitions below on the drive, and install Windows 10 on the primary partition.

    • Partition 1 - Recovery
    • Partition 2 - System - The EFI System partition that contains the NTLDR, HAL, Boot.txt, and other files that are needed to boot the system, such as drivers.
    • Partition 3 - MSR - The Microsoft Reserved (MSR) partition that reserves space on each disk drive for subsequent use by operating system software.
    • Partition 4 - Primary - Where Windows is to be installed to.

That's great news Sys, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

If you like, you can use the method in the tutorial below to confirm if your Windows 10 installation is UEFI or Legacy BIOS.

    It's UEFI

It's got the EFI partition alright, just not the MSR (3rd) partition shown in this tutorial. I had read about that
in several places, but my new installation doesn't have it? I did use the recommended download link for the ISO.

    Thanks for the quick response!

    please help..........
for an unallocated hdd 4 partitions will be automatically created under UEFI mode. but if I need more partition then what to do?

    i) shrink the C: drive after successful installation?
    or,
ii) create needed partition and leave some unallocated space(say, 100GB), then select this unallocated space and click next?

    please answer...

Hello NAbdulla, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

Yes, I find it easier to shrink the C: drive after Windows has finished installing.
