I have tried the classic upgrade route from Windows 7 to Windows 10, once the hardware gets it's new HID, you can reactivate Windows 10 every time in that machine. I've done that several times in virtual machines, even there it works.

BUT you have to upgrade first, then you can just skip setting up a key during next clean installs.

    Hello,
So I get to the disk partitions, and it lists 5 of them.

    Which do I delete?

Drive 0 Partition 1: ESP 500.0 MB 470.0 MB System
Drive 0 Partition 2 128.0 MB 128.0 MB MSR (Reserved)
Drive 0 Partition 3: OS 453.2 GB 368.8 GB Primary
    Drive 0 Partition 4 450.0 MB 233.0 MB Recovery
Drive 0 Partition 5: Image 11.5 GB 256.0 MB Recovery

    Thank you.

You need system partitions 1-3. You don't need 4 & 5 if you don't want the recovery tools. Else the oldest one of 4 & 5 can be deleted. Use reagentc /info to work out which recovery partition is set. I also use MiniTool Partition Wizard to explore the file dates of those partitions and delete the oldest.

If you are doing a clean install, delete all of them.

Hello Moony, and welcome to Ten Forums.

I would recommend to temporarily disable Secure Boot until you have finished the clean install.
