How to Import Favorites from Microsoft Edge to Internet Explorer in Windows 10

Keep track of the websites you visit frequently by storing them as favorites in Internet Explorer. The favorites bar is a toolbar in Internet Explorer that you can also add your favorite websites you visit frequently on to make opening them faster and more convenient.

This tutorial will show you how to import favorites from Microsoft Edge to Internet Explorer for your account in Windows 10.

Internet Explorer 11 will be retired on June 15, 2022 in Windows 10

    Here's How:

1 Export your favorites from Microsoft Edge to a .htm file.

2 Import the .htm file to Internet Explorer.

    That's it,
    Shawn

    Favorites transfer

I switched from Edge to IE because I don't care for some Edge features. After I switched, I found that all my favorites did not make it over. Can I get them back? Alternatively, can I set my favorites in Edge to go back to where I was in the list instead of having to start at the top every time I close a favorite?

Hello jmdevine, and welcome to Ten Forums.

If this is for the newer Chromium based Microsoft Edge, then double check to make sure you exported your favorites from Microsoft Edge to a HTML file using the method in the tutorial below instead. I have just now updated the link in the tutorial previously for the old Microsoft Edge.
