Not sure why it didn't work when I edited it, but it worked right away when I merged that reg file.
Great news. May have just been one of those obscure typos.

Good morning @Brink. It just dawned on me that analagous cascading menus to open .bat, .cmd, and .vbs files with command prompt (possibly powershell if applicable) would also be useful. Could you create tutorias for them as well please? Thanks!

    Hello mate,

Did you have any specific context menu items for them in mind?

I'm not sure it'll be needed since they open and run in command prompt by default.

I was thinking of an expandable context menu to open in command prompt and command prompt admin, wscript.exe and wscript.exe admin, powershell and powershell admin, and notepad. Analogous the powershell menu in this thread nut for vbs, bat and cmd files. Of course not all of those options would be applicable. Does that make sense?

I'll take a look to see what I can do since some of these would be limited on what can edit or open with.

Ok sounds good. I know that windows script hist is one of the options to run and/edit. Do bat, cmd and vbe files run independently from wscript and cmd or does wscript provide a wrapper or interface to run through cmd?

wscript would be for .vbs files, but they already open with it by default.

I checked for bat and cmd files. The available options are to open (I assume with command prompt), runas (as admin command prompt) and edit (with notepad). I am guessing that bat and cmd files don't run in powershell or wscript.exe so there isn't anything additional to add to the context menu, right?

For VBS, it looks like you can open with wscript, open with cmd and edit with notepad, so I am guessing the only other two logical context menu options would be to open with wscript and cmd elevated, right?

Correct. It doesn't seem like a new context menu is needed for them for these options. The only thing different it notepad. You can also use run as administrator with them.

The only options I don't have are to run wscript.exe and cmd, both as admin, for VBS files. What would be the correct string syntax for each? I can try out when i get home this evening.
