How to Enable or Disable Automatically Open Desktop View app in Mixed Reality on Windows 10

Windows Mixed Reality blends real-world and virtual content into hybrid environments where physical and digital objects coexist and interact.

While inside Windows Mixed Reality, you can use the Desktop view app to interact with your PC desktop without taking off your headset.

While you are wearing a headset, Windows can detect when focus moves to apps on your Windows 10 desktop and automatically start the Desktop view app in Mixed Reality for you.

This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable automatically open the Desktop View app when a desktop app gains focus while wearing a headset in Mixed Reality for your account in Windows 10.

This Desktop view setting is currently only available to Windows Insider builds.

Windows Mixed Reality is deprecated and will be removed in a future release of Windows. This deprecation includes the Mixed Reality Portal app, and Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR and Steam VR Beta.
