I'm back again
I was trying BitDefender (BD), but I don't want to continue. I've uninstalled it.
I think BD might have removed MS Defender from my R-click context menu. Anyway, I want to re-activate the context menu, using this tutorial.
I followed Step 2, followed by Step 5, etc. But no context menu.
Repeated Steps 2 and 5. Still no context menu.
In both attempts, I got all the following messages:
- Do you want to allow ...? YES
- Are you sure ... ? YES
- Keys and values ... have been successfully added. OK
I restarted my laptop. Still no context menu.
Please advise.
Thanks
Hello mate,
This will add a "Windows Security" context menu when you right click on the desktop instead.
Were you wanting the "Scan with Microsoft Defender" context menu below instead?

That wasn't what I wanted
That's called "a senior moment"

Yes, that's what I was looking for.
I followed the instructions, I got the "Keys and values ... successfully added" popup.
But I don't see the context menu item that I saw before I added/removed BitDefender.
When it was working correctly previously, I could scan:
- A single file
- Several highlighted files
- A folder
- Several highlighted folders, etc, etc
Thanks

No worries mate. I can certainly understand.
Does Windows Security show Microsoft Defender Antivirus real-time protection as turned on?

For now, here's an option below you can test.
