This tutorial will show you how to use DTPChanger to change themes via command prompt.
You can apply themes at specific time or apply multiple themes in every (for example, 30 seconds).
You can put slideshows in the batch file but instead of pictures, it is deskthemepacks.
You need to create deskthemepacks as described here.
Also, You need to activate Windows or your theme could not be applied.

The command only is your path to your theme.
I will use my themes published here, you can use other themes
1 Find your theme.
I have a multiple copies of my themes so I can find easily.
2 Open a command prompt.
3 We have now the cmd.exe window.
4 Type your path or Change Directory to your path.
5 Then, type your deskthemepack. Press ENTER.
In my DTPChanger batch file, you can do this:
- Apply themes with confirmation
- Apply themes with specific time period
- Has specific custom commands which I will talk later.
1 Download DTPChanger
DeskThemePackChanger.bat
2 Run cmd.exe or Run DTPChanger
3 Press any key
4 Enter your path
5 Press ENTER 2 times
6 Press Y if you confirm, and N if not. Then press ENTER.
7 The theme changing is now completed.

1 Download DTPChanger

If you do the Option 2, there was no need to re-download DTPChanger.bat
2 Run cmd.exe or Run DTPChanger
3 Press any key
4 Enter your path
5 Instead of entering 2 times, you do it one time. then, enter your second theme pack.
6 If you want to add another, Press ENTER one time or instead, 2 times.
7 Press Y if you confirm, and N if not. Then press ENTER.
8 If you confirmed yes, another dialog appears. Valid numbers are -1 to 99999.
9 Batch file will preview what you want. Press ENTER to continue.
10 This dialog appears and applies your theme time to time
The DTPChanger updated. DTPChanger 1.0.1/2
DTPChanger 1.0.1 include this features:
- Open Dialog ( Contributed by @Matthew Wai )
- More complex error screen if you not put an path in DeskThemePack selection 1
- And more.
DTPChanger 1.0.2 added these features:
- Auto-apply deskthemepacks/themes when drag and dropping to the batch file
- Only DeskThemePack and theme files can put into the batch file
- and More.
DTPChanger 1.0.3 added these features:
- Added an exe file
- Removed trash code that can't be used
- More complex notification error

- Exe file don't support Drag-and-Drop
Well, That is a limitation of Iexpress but you can download 1.0.3 batch file natively.- Clr and Cls commands not working on 1.0.1 and up!
Well, We moved from typing of the path to the Open dialog.
1 Download the New version
DeskThemePackChanger 1.0.1.bat [1.0.1]
DeskThemePack Changer 1.0.2.bat [1.0.2]
DeskThemePackChanger 1.0.3.bat [1.0.3 Batch file]
DeskThemePack Changer 1.0.3.zip [1.0.3 Executable file]
2 Start the file
If you see the Windows Defender SmartScreen, do this:

3 Press any key to start
4 If the Open Dialog opens, find your deskthemepack
The default location is Documents. Desktop when 1.0.2.

5 Do step 4 until you have no DeskThemePacks left then press Cancel.
6 Press Y or N
7 The theme changing is now completed.

Drag and Drop feature [1.0.2+]
Drag on to the batch file your DeskThemePack and theme files
The files are on the Startup folder, and your User folder inside of WallChng folder.

Note
The batch file is created by me.
You can see the console color at the tutorial is black in green.
The default console color is blue in white.
Also, Do not use more than 1 theme schemes (for example: 1 aero theme and 1 HC theme) because you will see this:
