    Greetings, I have a problem.
After I made the UpDate for 21H1 the Local Group Policy Editor no longer displays the option News and interests in Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > News and interests in the left pane, News and interests disappeared and is not displayed in the bar Windows tasks.
    Can anyone help?
    Hello,

Are you able to use the method in the tutorial below instead for now?

It appears you are affected by the bug in the latest update. Hopefully, it will be sorted in the next one.

Would there be a method to uninstall this app instead of just disabling it?

If such an option becomes available, but currently disabling is about as close as you can get.

Thank you for this tutorial. Most of the other online tutorials only show how to hide it.
Am I correct in assuming that hiding it doesn't stop it from consuming network resources while disabling does?

It doesn't use any resources unless you have it showing on the taskbar for it to run and keep updated.

Disabling just removes the ability to add it to the taskbar for all users.

    Thanks!
Lastly, is this part of a new process or is it included in the explorer.exe process?

Hah... I deffer the upgrade, suddenly it become the required update as important as security update and forcing it to install.. what a day... I disable it right away. Thank you for the Tuts, it works well by GPO in Windows 10 Pro 20H2 and restarting/kill explorer.
