This can also be removed from the taskbar by right clicking it & unticking the entry for news & interests.

    Did not work here... Shame...
I tried the GP and the enable reg file but nothing appeared so as well as that I then also did the following........

Download the latest vivetool (0.21 as of today) and then open an elevated command prompt inside the folder you unzip it to.

At the prompt type and run.......

    vivetool.exe addconfig 27368843 2

    Then type and run......

    vivetool.exe addconfig 27371152 2

You will need to restart your computer for it to work. I have not yet figured out how to make enable "open on hover" and "reduce task update" menu items as both ways @Brink showed don't work for me (see below)

I do however now have it on the taskbar.and it works....

So I just updated to the optional update that was supposed to add this, however its just not there on the taskbar etc.

I did disable the "reconcilefeatures" task to stop that blasted header from appearing on my settings menu, is that potentially the cause? I would think the update enabled the feature without requiring to call home but I could be wrong.

Do the Group Policy thing in the first post (I selected Enable). The run the enable reg file also in the first post.

    Restart. Then.......

Download the latest vivetool (0.21 as of today) and then open an elevated command prompt inside the folder you unzip it to.

At the prompt type and run.......

    vivetool.exe addconfig 27368843 2

    Restart.

    Then it will be there
