    @LesFerch, the view will invariably become "Details" after restoration.

    Oops. Silly mistake. I put the reg key list into an array and then referenced it starting at 1, instead of 0, causing the first key in the list, which was BagMRU, to be missed. All fixed now. I just had to change:

    For ($i = 1; $i -le $RegKeys.Length; $i++)
    To:
    For ($i = 0; $i -lt $RegKeys.Length; $i++)

    I tried it and found no problems with folders whose names contain no special characters.

    When I ran the backup the following two keys do net exist. Is that ok?

    "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags"
    "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU"

    That's normal.

    They are only there just in case.
