How to Add and Remove Tabs for Reading List in Google Chrome


Starting with Google Chrome 89, you can click on the Bookmark icon or right click on a tab to add tabs to a reading list to save a page for later.

The Reading list button will show on the bookmarks bar by default to the right of the Other bookmarks button.

This tutorial will show you how to add and remove tabs on the reading list for your profile in Google Chrome in Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10.

OPTION ONE

Add Tab to Reading List from Bookmark Icon


1 Open Google Chrome.

2 While you have the tab open to a site or page (ex: "www.tenforums.com") you want to add to your reading list, click/tap on the Bookmarks icon on the right side of the address bar. (see screenshot below)

3 Click/tap on Add to reading list.

OPTION TWO

Add Tab to Reading List from Tab


1 Open Google Chrome.

2 While you have the tab open to a site or page (ex: "www.tenforums.com") you want to add to your reading list, right click or press and hold on the tab. (see screenshot below)

3 Click/tap on Add tab to reading list.

OPTION THREE

Remove Tab from Reading List


1 Open Google Chrome.

2 Click/tap on the Reading list button on the right side of the bookmarks bar. (see screenshot below)

3 Click/tap on the Delete (X) button for any tabs in the reading list you want to remove.
