    HI All,

Was trying to post a reply today and I found it so confusing to do the simplest of things -- attach a picture. Can some one tell me a blow by blow how to attach a picture from my computer without it ending up on the attachment area and making life really difficult?

    1. I have to files in the attachment area that i want to get rid of but can't. - So have to wait for one hour to get them cleared out?
    2. I want to get out of the reply I am typing after blanking it all out -- but can't keeps telling me post reply. How do I backout?
    3. I am in the advanced mode and want to go the simpler mode -- but can't.
    4. Once attachments are uploaded to the attachment area, I can't seem to drop them to the right area of the post. They seem to add themselves to the end of the post?

I am sure I am thick as hell but I can't see any options to do the things above?

    PLEASE HELP.
Hello nalinu, and welcome to Ten Forums.

Using option 1 in the tutorial is the easiest way to upload and attach an image from your computer to your post.

    option 1

thanks. I realised that and what I did was to have to wait until the image cache has been deleted after 1 hour and then have a go at it again and I succeeded. Don't you think in this day and age it's a bit too ling winded?

What would be useful is to get some answers to the questions I have asked please.

Q1) You can delete your attachments from Settings link (top right of page) > Attachments. You would check the attachments you want to delete, and click on the Delete Selected button at the bottom right of list. Of course, you don't want to delete any attachments still in your posts since it would break them.

    Q2) You can either:
    • Click on the Cancel button at bottom right of post box. This is not available in advanced mode.
    • Reload the page.

Q3) Once in advanced mode, you cannot go back to the default simple mode without closing and reloading the page.

Q4) Option 1 is best for this.

I looked at your post. It looks like you successfully uploaded the ZIP file, but just didn't attach it into the post afterwards.

I attached it for you though.

    You're most welcome.

If you used the paperclip (option 2) to upload, you'll also have to do steps 7 on to attach the upload.

    Hi,
Easiest way to post an image here is use the windows snipping tool

Once snipping tool has been used to capture a full screen or traced and custom size image all you have to do is right click in the body of the reply and select Paste and boom there is the capture

    Repeat for additional images.
