I clicked print screen then pasted with paint. I then pasted here.
A second time I copied an image and used 'insert image here'.
Both times the image appeared one larger than the other BUT I was not able to type words.
A third time I just pasted from a copy of the image which pasted well and after double clicking was able to type - a box appeared after the double click on the image which allowed me to keep it small and on the left by default.
What would you say is the easiest way to paste an image in the box then type some words afterwards? Double clicking the image to enable typing might be non intuitive and easy to forget.

Whoops, when I click to ave the edit the image is full size.

This time I copied from a capture - snip tool and clicked on the paper clip to find file and upload it.
I am going to click submit now to see if the typing and capture are in order.
I lost the .png 4 KB capture when submitting.
So I guess I will ask what is the easiest way to upload an image and also type in the same window without losing the image that appears before submitting then is lost?

Save your images first then add attachments and script as you choose...

How to Upload and Post Screenshots and Files at Ten Forums-capture.pngI have the image and text now - I will now submit reply

That seemed to work clicking on insert image. I am used to copy and paste not having used that 'insert image' unless mistaken.

    Thank you Edwin.

I would suggest that you add another option to the tutorial (unless I've missed seeing it somewhere else).

Of course, if it contains text, you better check your spelling first.

    HI All,

Was trying to post a reply today and I found it so confusing to do the simplest of things -- attach a picture. Can some one tell me a blow by blow how to attach a picture from my computer without it ending up on the attachment area and making life really difficult?

    1. I have to files in the attachment area that i want to get rid of but can't. - So have to wait for one hour to get them cleared out?
    2. I want to get out of the reply I am typing after blanking it all out -- but can't keeps telling me post reply. How do I backout?
    3. I am in the advanced mode and want to go the simpler mode -- but can't.
    4. Once attachments are uploaded to the attachment area, I can't seem to drop them to the right area of the post. They seem to add themselves to the end of the post?

I am sure I am thick as hell but I can't see any options to do the things above?

    PLEASE HELP.
