Add Safe Mode to Boot Options in Windows 10

    Yes, thank you, but I had. I just did it again and the settings for "Safe Mode with Networking" are so far staying put. But the "Normal startup" setting on the General tab just won't stay. I'm not sure if that's normal, since I'm guessing "Selective startup" with all 3 options below it selected means the same thing as "Normal startup".

    I find that it's pretty normal for "Normal startup" to no longer remain selected.

    Having "Selective startup" selected with all options checked under it is essentially the same as "Normal startup" though.

    That's powershell, you need to do it from an elevated command prompt.

    I used Win+X button & in the current version of Windows 10 it has only Windows Powershell (Admin) option. This leads to same Command Line prompt as "Elevated Command Prompt". So I fail yo understand where I erred.

    Your screenshot shows an "elevated PowerShell" window which is different than an "elevated command prompt". Not all command prompt commands will run in PowerShell.

    Open Elevated Command Prompt in Windows 10 Windows 10 Tutorials

    If you like, the tutorial below can show you how to have the command prompt options show in the Win+X menu instead of PowerShell.
