I use the .bat file to clear the Event Viewer and was getting the access denied for Microsoft-Windows-LiveId/Operational and Analytic. I ran across the following the other day and decided to try it. Been a couple weeks since doing this and I haven't seen any unwanted side effects, but use at your own risk !!!

Appears it's a permission issue ... Access is denied because of restricted (read only) channel access permissions for this event log. One must grant permission to clear for the member of Local Administrators Group:

    Code:
    wevtutil sl Microsoft-Windows-LiveId/Operational /ca:O:BAG:SYD:(A;;0x1;;;SY)(A;;0x5;;;BA)(A;;0x1;;;LA)

    wevtutil sl Microsoft-Windows-LiveId/Analytic /ca:O:BAG:SYD:(A;;0x1;;;SY)(A;;0x5;;;BA)(A;;0x1;;;LA)

I also fixed the following, but it requires editing the registry as TrustedInstaller or System with PowerRun or equivalent and is probably an exercise in futility as the next Win10 upgrade will probably undo it. I haven't done a write up on it, but if I can if anyone is interested.

Failed to clear log Microsoft-Windows-USBVideo/Analytic. (It should be Microsoft-Windows-USB-Video)
The instance name passed was not recognized as valid by a WMI data provider

I was using an older script I beleive I got from Windows Secrets many moons ago. Lately it hasn't been closing the command prompt auotmatically. I wondered why then compared the script here and it had more lines in it. Tried it and it's much slower on the same machine just a few minutes apart. Still not closing automatically. Any ideas why?
