    You mentioned you did a Custom...take a look at these two pictures and tell me how you answered them and what you did.

    nope i went back twice and rechecked options

    this was a previous dual boot system fixed by partion magic as single boot, maybe that messed something up

    i needed a clean install at some point, so no problem

    just wished i could have backed some things up, lost a month of new data, oh well

    @hansolo89 ... Good luck and success with your clean install. Plenty of help here on the forum, if needed.

    Your backup.....this is used by many here on the forum and there is plenty of help available to set it up. It's very easy to use and flexible. Macrium Reflect Free


    Strongly advise you get an external USB 3.0 drive for your backups.

    Hello Chummy, :)

    Yes, you will keep your installed software if you do a repair install. The information at the top of the tutorial can help give you more details about this.
