Thank You Very Much Brink,For this wonderful tutorial.
I had a broken installation after an upgrade from Windows 8.1 and then a clean install.
I followed this step '5. To Do a Repair Install of Windows 10 with USB Installation Media' Now everything is running blazing fast and works very well,:)

Thanks to you all who was involved in this tutorial with your time and efforts.

My system went haywire today for a reason I don't know. I read this tutorial top to bottom and have come to the conclusion that it is too extensive for me at my age of 81.

I can still navigate despite some problems and I initiate via the Google site. I can get to most places but must use a manual shutdown. My thoughts are maybe with next new update all will be restored.

    Thanks adios

    Hello enigma, :)

If you decide or need to do a repair install, I would recommend to use the latest ISO from Microsoft to do it with. This would be the easiest way.

I suggest you simply uninstall the apps you don't want.

Hello Mostafa20xx, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

Since you are also wanting to uninstall all programs, you could refresh Windows 10 instead. This will repair Windows and remove all apps and programs that didn't come with the PC.

    Refresh Windows 10

Those would need to be uninstalled since they are included with Windows by default. Using step 2 in OPTION FOUR of the tutorial below should help make that easy for you. :)

I can not make it work

Hi, I have tryied to follow this procedure to do a repair install on my Windows 10 Home PC, but it does not works at all. I do not know what I am doing wrong.

First I created the USB installation media, using the Media Creation Tool in the same PC I want to do the repair install and it finish without any problem, but then when I tryied to run the setup.exe I recived a message that says: "YOUR PC CAN NOT RUN THIS APLICATION".

Then I created the USB installation media using the Media Creation Tool in my office Laptop that has the same Windows 10 Home version (64 bits), then I tested the USB instalation media in that Laptop, and run the setup.exe file and I started without a problem (I did not finish the process), then I used this same USB instalation media in the PC where I want to do the repair installation and it showed the same message: "YOUR PC CAN NOT RUN THIS APLICATION".

Then I downloaded the ISO file and mounted on the PC where I want to do the instalation, but then when I click on the setup.exe, I get the UAC control windows then I click YES and the nothing happens!!!

I checked my BIOS to make sure Secure Boot it is not enable but I do not know what else to do.

I upgraded my PC from windows 7 to windows 10 but I have some sleep/hybernate problems that I wnat to try to get solved with this repair install but I can not do it. Can some body have an idea of what I need to do?

    Thanks!!!!
