Yes, it will work the same.
Unfortunately, no. That would technically be a downgrade, version wise, which is not allowed with keeping files, data and installed apps. You will need to do a clean install to 19042.
Backup your current data first, and you can copy it over to the new OS, but your apps will need too be re-installed.

Didn't we just go thru that? If you do a clean install, you will not be keeping anything, hence the term "clean". If I do not understand, please explain further.
And as posted before, if you backup your data and file and other personal stuff, you can copy it back to the clean OS. Apps need to be reinstalled.
