Hello Shawn mate I don't quite understand what MSU is - forgive the ignorance and I have made a USB stick using the media creation tool I might just try the upgrade method I take it that you mean the one in Settings?? Sorry for being dumb cluck but it is bothering me that I might lose the OS by doing a repair install.
No worries mate.
I was referring to the MSU or ISO link at the bottom of the first below.
KB5008212 Windows 10 19041.1415, 19042.1415, 19043.1415, 19044.1415
The MSU is just the manual way to install the update, by downloading the MSU and double click/tap on it to install.
Ok Shawn I got onto Microsoft support and they walked me through an upgrade to the latest version and build so I am just having to set up a few things but everything is on track now.
Thanks for your help mate I do appreciate it
Well Steve they just told me to go to the support site and do an update and it reinstalled Windows keeping most of my files etc But it has left me with the Home version of Windows and I had the Pro version on it before. Now I have tried using the activation code for Pro that I had saved but it will not accept it.
Its ok Navy I tried the old code I had before again and it has upgraded my machine to Pro but thanks for your reply mate.
Hello,
Great tutorial!
I'm just having trouble downloading ISO file from Microsoft. It's stuck at 0%...
I was able to download the ISO file from HeiDoc.net. Only problem is the language selection. Is US english same as international english?
Hello, and welcome to Ten Forums.
You can verify the installed language by running the command below in an elevated command prompt to see if it's the same.
dism /online /get-intl
