This will complete your already wonderful doing (as usual !) when you want give a standard user the capability to run it.

For elevated shortcut to create a restore point without UAC prompt:

A standard user will not be able to use this shortcut.

• You would use powershell.exe in the Program/script field in step 7 of Option 2 above.
• You would use -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command "Checkpoint-Computer -Description \"Manual Restore Point\" -RestorePointType \"MODIFY_SETTINGS\"" in the Add arguments field in step 8 of Option 2 above.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "runas method". If you mean for the registry key, it would have a UAC prompt.

You could have the elevated shortcut where you want (ex: desktop, pin to taskbar, pin to Start, etc...) if you wanted to run the elevated task using the shortcut.

Otherwise, let me know what you used for the command in step 13 of option 2 below to create the elevated shortcut with. I can use it for the context menu and post back with a .reg file for you.
