Have you clicked on the icon for flight mode (maybe twice) to attempt to reset it?

Hi I have a Linx Windows 10 tablet - wh. has suddenly switched into Flight Mode.

In Settings, the Wifi section has disappeared, and none of the normally available wifi networks are visible or available anywhere on the tablet. Other devices see and connect to them fine. The Flight mode is registered as Off in Settings.

ANy ideas? {I vaguely remember a box coming up at some time recently about Windows Connect conflicting with something. Dunno if that's related]

Many thx if you can help

I have a similar problem. A Win 10 desktop suddenly decided, after about an hour online working fine, that it was necessary for it to be in airplane mode.

I tried shutting down and then plugging it into a power strip, to get rid of the UPS possible part of the problem. No change.

I then logged into the computer as administrator. Wouldn't let me get out of airplane mode, nor would it let me remove airplane mode from the registry. I can move the button in aps settings-> airplane mode, but when I stop using the mouse button, it immediately goes back to On.

There is no airplane icon in my systray.

None of the other solutions work either. I'm currently logged in using my Win 7 professional computer.

Other than doing a restore point, any suggestions ?

    Thanks !

edit: no new hardware. The Belkin usb wireless has been working for several years. No router change, etc. This just suddenly happened.

    Hello Jim,

That is very odd behavior. It may be best to try a system restore using a restore point dated before this started to happen.

Sigh. I hate doing those... yes, very odd. I'll try it and check back when I can. ( lots of business in my life these days and I thought I was retired.)

Okay, I went back about 15 days. After the restore, and it rebooted, I don't remember how many times, it still wouldn't get out of airplane mode. This is after I clicked on the connect icon before typing in my computer password. It said connected, but no connection after login completed.

So I rebooted again, and it worked that time. I tried internet login as above, and it was already going, still there.
