Yes, you are correct.
Recent is there in my top screen shot but not in the other two screenshots.
I am seeing the Pin to Quick accesss but Recent Folders is already pinned to quick access but it still does not display in the most important file browsers (MS Word and Firefox).
Recent Folders is also not displayed in the Chrome file upload browser, only "often used folders" as shown below.
I must admit that I'm not sure why "Recent Folders" shows pinned in Quick access for some bot not all locations.
This claims to fix it

using this registry file especially the last bit about the Wow6432Node which should implement the change in 32 and 64 bit programs apparently. I will try it soon.
