Version 89.0.774.57 (Official build) no longer shows a list of custom providers for me.

Hello Brink, can you please explain what does "Use current service provider" mean?

Does it mean to use DNS server specified in NIC?

Also what if "Use secure DNS to specify how to lookup the network address for websites" option is disabled entirely, which DNS is contacted then?

Your ISP's DNS server.
Here is an example of what I mean from my Fritz! Boxes UI

my NIC has custom DNS servers not the ones provided by router via DHCP.
