All these ways mentioned here didn't work for me, also AutoplayStopper not.
But I found the solution, which works for me with the new Edge and Chrome...the extension "Disable HTML5 Autoplay (Reloaded)":

Disable HTML5 Autoplay (Reloaded) - Chrome Web Store

You're leaving some of us without a clear explanation. How do you get this extension you mention and HOW do you install it into Edge?
Apart from that, there's no stopping videos from automatically playing in the new Edge. I've tried Foxnews and sometimes (not all the time) the videos will just take off and play. I have Edge set to Block this from happening but it's useless.

Yeah unfortunately, the "Block" setting doesn't seem to always work yet. It's still just an experimental feature not quite ready though.

Here's the link for the Disable HTML5 Autoplay extension posted above for Microsoft Edge.

Thank you so much Brink for your reply. I was not aware of the Block just being an experimental feature in Edge. Also, I appreciate you putting me onto that extension. Works 100%!
