    Dyslexia problem with auto-sort

    To Brink
Concerning approaching the Dyslexia Association about the autosort-problem:
the association's answer to my plea to contact MS about auto-sort: they suggest ways to cope with the status quo instead. Seem entrenched in this idea that dislexia is a disability. That not remembering names/dates is a disability, instead of a way to separate wheat from chaff. And they leave solving the problem at the source ... to something-or-other.

I think forcing the world polulation to think alfabetically is cripling everybody who's mind works visually, everybody who remembers forms and places, rather than names and dates.

I'm not giving up, just sanning the horizon.
If you think of something, let me know.
    Lisa
How do i get back into this thread ?

    Will do @Lisa9.

It's been broken for so long, I think it may require using a 3rd party file browsing program instead that has its own auto arrange feature.

No new news. This feature appears to be permanently broken.
    Hi friends.

This is my private solution that works 100% for me.

Custom layout of files, folders only works until Windows 10 1607 !!! Install this version and immediately disable Windows 10 automatic updates via gpedit.msc or permanently regedit registers. See the procedure on the Internet. You can then use Windows Update MiniTool wumt_x64, 86 to download and install updates yourself. You need to disable, disable Windows 10 updates to newer, it's about 3 GB, because the arrangement of icons, folders yourself would be deactivated and it would be automatic what we do not want! Of course, use shell / and run disableautoarrange.reg / Other updates that we can install all.
    I'm sorry, I don't know English. translated by translate.google.com

Or you could could use windows 10 LTSB which is a cut down windows 10 1607 with security updates until 2026, if you really need to maintain icon placement and can't manage without !!!

Hello, unfortunately this tweak doesn't work with Dark Mode, it turns the folder names to grey/black color over dark background.
if I go back to white mode it works perfect, is there anything I can do to fix this?

    Hello Borja,

I'm afraid you will find it doesn't work anymore at all to remember how you arranged items.

Thank you Brink for your answer, this is so terrible for me that Microsoft disabled this feature, I loved the new dark theme but I cannot use it because of this.
the image I posted was taken from internet, it's not my computer
So there is no registry tweak I can apply to change the folder names to white?

Using step 5 to undo the changed should restore the default text color for dark mode.

Yes, I know how to restore it to default, but my question is if there is a possibility to keep the tweak but without the issue in dark mode

    thanks
