    I was able to install it a while back in US region, but right now shows "Indexer Diagnostics is currently not available." - is it still available for you Shawn?

    It's availability rather fits this comment (from a foreign site):
    The search in Windows 10 is not known for reliability. The Start search has always been a problem for many users.

    I did once manage to grab a copy. I can't find it in the Store.

    I always feel so sad that a tool that works well- but only if you configure it properly- has such a poor reputation, largely because its default configuration is wrong, and what MS has done with it from 1909 has made it worse.

    Further, it's incompletely documented.

    @brink and @dalchina,

    Thanks for your responses.

    I found the tool to be useful when I used it a few times, but unfortunately we can't recommend it to other people if it's not available via Microsoft Store (no other way I know of to get it either )

    Given that the ribbon and Search tab are not available to specify a search with file explorer until you've DONE a search (ever since MS messed up search from 1909) - same in Win 11- it seems clear Windows search, so often discounted and derided, isn't any sort of a priority to MS.

    Perhaps it's actually more of an embarrassment given the way a giant computer company can't manage to make that a user-friendly readily used tool. It's not even fully documented.

    I've managed to get instant results for content or file search on C: even if I open file explorer at My PC or C: - without completely indexing C: - I have about 18000 items indexed. I doubt anyone else experiences other then a green progress bar. Try it!

    I posted about this utility back in June of this year, I need Windows Indexing to index and search all contents
    Still have it on my Win10 system, but on Win11 it is not available.

    Indexer Diagnostics - MSStore seems to be available again. It's still described as a Beta release.
