How to Change App Window Resolution for Mixed Reality Headset Display in Windows 10

Mixed reality blends real-world and virtual content into hybrid environments where physical and digital objects coexist and interact.

If the visual level of detail and quality of effects in your mixed reality home don’t look their best, you could try adjusting your headset display visual settings to ensure a comfortable mixed reality experience.

You can change app window resolution to be either 720p or 1080p in Windows Mixed Reality for your headset display.

720p is the default setting for a lower app window resolution with less detail.

1080p will give you a higher app window resolution with more detail, but may have a negative impact on performance for your PC.

This tutorial will show you how to change app window resolution in the mixed reality home for your headset display for your account in Windows 10.

Windows Mixed Reality is deprecated and will be removed in a future release of Windows. This deprecation includes the Mixed Reality Portal app, and Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR and Steam VR Beta.
