"Device Encryption" is "BitLocker automatic device encryption". I've added more info to the top of the tutorial to help.

Usually, Device Encryption will always be turned on automatically unless the OEM adds something like that during setup.

It does get confusing since technically it's all "BitLocker".

Think of "Device Encryption" as the Home edition (OS drive only) BitLocker, while the Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions have full "BitLocker".
