Not a major problem but since I remember, each photo format had its own icon in Windows 7 but in 10, it's all the same as .tiff

    Did you use Option 2?

Option 2 would give you what you wanted instead.

Undo Option 1 first, then apply Option 2.

    Thanks
Regardless of the icon, which method is best?
If Option 1 is better, then I'll stick with it

What's better really depends on your wants, but I like Option 2 best.

Option 1 only gets applied to the current user, and uses Tiff as a reference for the Windows Photo Viewer.

Option 2 gets applied to all users, and adds the other file type references for the Windows Photo Viewer.

Please go ahead and post a screenshot showing what you're seeing to see if it may reveal more about what's happening.

After a clean install of Windows 10 I'm trying to get my old photo viewer back. I tried option 2 and the viewer it brought back lacked the "edit" features of the old version. I used to be able to open a picture, edit (in a number a ways), resize, etc.
I was unable to find these features, so I hit undo to reverse the restore.

Does your restore bring back full functionality, or only some features?
