I'm not sure how to stop the message then since it appears that it may only be related to Outlook 2016.

    Hello blueskyler, :)

Please give more details on what you deleted by mistake. I may be able to give you a copy from my system.

You could see if running the SFC /SCANNOW command may be able to restore any missing system files for it, then see if you have it after restoring again.

Fresh install of Win10, did option 2, number 3 (sort fix). does anyone know why "Windows Photo Viewer" would show up twice in the list of apps to choose from in default apps? It persists even after setting Windows Photo Viewer as default. Also appears twice when choosing a default program on a per-filetype basis.

    Hello wiivile,

The method used for the sort order fix causes it to be listed twice.

Oh, sorry, I missed that. Does it matter which of the two I select if it appears twice? I'm not sure I understand what "sort fix" does - is it for pressing left/right when viewing a photo, so it goes to the next photo in the folder? Without "sort fix", what order would it display photos?

The sort order fix allows you to view files in Windows Photo Viewer in the same order as they are arranged in the folder.

Without the fix, the images will appear shuffled in Windows Photo Viewer as pressing left/right.

It doesn't matter which one you use. It's more of a personal choice of which one you prefer, and if the side effect of the fix is acceptable or not.

Thanks. Does the "sort fix" issue only occur when restoring Photo Viewer for all users? Is it not an issue when only doing it for current account?
