Hello dejann, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

This would have no affect on your Internet. That would have been caused by some other issue instead. Please feel free to create a new thread for that issue to see what we can do to help.

Double check to make sure that you did step 9 to make Windows Photo Viewer the default app.

    dejann,

Do you have Windows Photo Viewer now restored and set as your default app?

You'll need to start a new thread for your Internet issue since it's unrelated to and unaffected by this tutorial.

The last time I attempted to use Windows 10 I was able to get Windows photo viewer to work but I could not get it to view just select pictures in a directory (as opposed to ALL in that dir) by selecting wanted pictures & right click/view as in 7, I use this function CONSTANTLY in editing so it was one the big reasons I went back to 7, My main PC died this week & since 7 is no longer supported I would like to install 10 on the new box but I would like to know if this is still a issue as it was a major thorn in the side.

Hello Blackbeen, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

This is no longer an issue in Windows 10 if you have Windows Photo Viewer set as the default app.

    Thanks, for the quick reply!
I generally use Photoshop as the default & Windows Photo Viewer to check after the fact does this change this functionality?

You could right click on the selected image(s) and click on Open with -> Windows Photo Viewer instead.

I edited the context menu in 7 to open with PS but view with Windows Photo Viewer so I would assume I could do the same with 10. I didn't know if not being the default app would change the capacity of this function, I wouldn't think it would but being that you mentioned that it had to be the default I thought it wise to ask.

    It wouldn't make any difference.
