    OK, thank you for all your replies.

    I think a workaround right now is to run multiple custom scans with pause.
    I really don't like high loads on my PC unless really wanted or needed.

    Is there an easier way to pause a scan already started?
    That would also free up CPU time.

    Hello Brian,

    You should be able to cancel a scan from within Windows Security like below.

    Yes, that I know. However, it seems that there is no capability to just pause it.

    Yeah, it would be nice to have a pause option like all the other AV programs out there.
