Win10XPE - Build Your Own Rescue Media
Thanks For the Report - and virus definition..
We are aware that we use uncommon custom program.exe's and are familiar with Scan Reports..
Win10XPE does not modify or access any Host OS Files - other then Command Prompt....4) You will need to allow a Windows Defender "Exception" for the Win10XPE Folder
I would suggest the same exception for any A/V software, in order to allow the program exe's to run without being blocked....
Win10XPE extracts the required System Files directly from the Install.wim into a Temp Folder..
There are up to 5 System Files in the Temp Folder that we do modify (Patch) the Binary of the files to allow use in WinPE..
At No Point Does Win10XPE Modify, Change or Alter ANY Host OS Files...
Although, we do use uncommon program.exe(s) to make those binary (Patch) Modifications..
Following the timeline - I know there was No Intentional Malaise or Motive
Thank You
What about an option in the tutorial to remove the boot menu.
It is the same method as adding one i.e. you just select no menu. I agree clarifying in tutorial would be a nice touch.
You can also remove the menu by running msconfig (which is easier imo).
I actually leave it there but set Windows menu boot time to only 2 seconds so the dual boot option does not inconvenience but gives enough time to select it when needed.
I have created the boot menu as per first post. I used msconfig to delete macrium boot entry. That also went well. But I wanted to create again macrium boot menu with same bat file. Though boot menu is made, I had a few errors statement as shown below while running bat file.
How to avoid error entries when remaking macrium boot menu?
No errors there.
First time you run the batch file, it creates a RAM disk entry with the first command in batch file:
bcdedit /create {ramdiskoptions} /d "Ramdisk"
From there on, that entry exists. Next time the batch file, or that single command line is run, system only notifies you that because the entry alreadt exists, it does not have to be / cannot be recreated:
Long story, short version: that's normal, as it should be. No errors there.

Hello, When I boot to my Macrium Reflect partition, my screen resolution option is only 800x600. Is there a way to fix this as the normal windows OS resolution is much higher. Funny thing is on another much older PC, I don't have this issue .
Thanks
