How to Enable or Disable Color and Theme for New Tab Page Customize Menu in Google Chrome

I am using Google Chrome 90. None of those color options are available in chrome://flags after I searched for colors.

I have the Google home page set up as my default page in Chrome. The color options are now available in the Customize your Chrome profile on the top of the settings page, where it says "You and Google" branch. See the image below:

There are no other color options available that I can see.

When you have Google set as your default search engine in Google Chrome, you should see a Customize button on the New Tab page like in the example screenshots. You should see the Color and theme settings available on Customize this page.

I have Google set up as my default home page in Chrome. I do not see the Customize button on the new tab page, nor the color and theme settings on the customize page. None of those options are available. I am using Chrome 90.

You'll need to set Google set as your default search engine like below instead. It isn't the same as the home page.
