How to Enable or Disable Color and Theme for New Tab Page Customize Menu in Google Chrome
Color and Theme for New Tab Page Customize menu is now enabled by default in Google Chrome when you have Google set as your default search engine, and can no longer be disabled.
When you have Google set as your default search engine in Google Chrome, you can open a New Tab page Ctrl+N in Google Chrome and click/tap on the Customize button at the bottom to see the New Tab page customization menu.
Starting with Google Chrome 77, you can enable the Color and Theme menu to show in the New Tab page customization menu.
The Color and Theme menu allows you to change the Google Chrome browser color scheme using a color you select. You can select from a number of preset colors, the default color, or a custom color.
This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable showing the Color and Theme menu in the New Tab page customization menu in Google Chrome.

1 Open Google Chrome. (see screenshot below)
2 Copy and paste the link below into the address bar of Chrome, and press Enter.

3 Select Enabled or Default for the NTP customization menu version 2 setting.
This will enable the new NTP (New Tab page) customization menu. It is required to see the Color and Theme menu when enabled below.
4 Copy and paste the link below into the address bar of Chrome, and press Enter.

5 Select Enabled or Default for the Chrome Colors menu setting.
This will enable showing the Color and Theme menu in the New Tab page customization menu.
6 Copy and paste the link below into the address bar of Chrome, and press Enter.

7 Select Enabled or Default for the Custom color picker for Chrome Colors menu setting.
This will enable showing the custom color picker in the Color and Theme menu.
8 Click/tap on the Relaunch Now button at the bottom to apply.

3 Select Disabled for the Chrome Colors menu setting.
This will disable showing the Color and Theme menu in the New Tab page customization menu.
