I made the Windows XP desktop larger by changing the screen resolution.
I don't like the way Windows XP captures the mouse (I need to work side by side in Windows XP and Windows 10 every day). Is there any way to stop this?
Before finding this page I originally tried a fresh download of XP Mode to Oracle Virtualbox (before realising it might stop working after 30 days, which is no use to me). Oracle Virtualbox didn't seem to capture the mouse, it worked better side-by-side with Windows 10 (more like Windows XP Mode + Windows 7 did).

I've now reverted to Oracle VirtualBox. Although this is described as more basic, it seems to handle working in Windows XP and Windows 10 side-by-side in a much intuitive way.
I was able to use the same VHD (created as per instructions in post 1 of this thread) into Oracle Virtualbox.
Once booted in VirtualBox, it did require a repeat of the telephone activation done last night in HyperV (it complained "you system has changed substantially since you activated it"), but I was able to do this by telephone as before.

What I mean by "side by side working more intuitive in VirtualBox" is this:
-- Hyper V captures the mouse and requires constant clicking on <Ctrl Alt RightArrow > to release it. There is an option to change these keystrokes, but only to other collections of three keys.
-- Oracle VirtualBox requires only <Right Ctrl> to release the mouse (or sometimes it doesn't seem to require anything, I can switch between Windows XP and the host operating system just by moving the mouse, the same as I could with XP Mode in Windows 7).
Is there any other reason I should be using HyperV not VirtualBox? Anything I'm going to find out later? My requirement is basic data entry .
My workflow is such that for 10 minutes each day, there are similar (but not identical!) data entries being made about the day's events in both an old program on XP and a newer program on Windows 10. Hence the need for intuitive switching between the two.

PS
There seemed to be possible complications with having Oracle VirtualBox and HyperV on the same Windows 10 machine (not clear, conflicting information, I didn't have time to sort out) . So to be clear, I system restored to a state before I switched on HyperV, before re-using the earlier Disk2VHD copy of my old Win XP Mode in Oracle VirtualBox.
