How to Change Display Language in Windows 10

The display language you select changes the default language used by all Windows features like Settings and File Explorer.

See also: Manage the input and display language settings in Windows 10 | Windows Support

If you have a single language edition of Windows 10 installed, you will receive an "Only one language pack allowed" or "Your Windows license supports only one display language" message when trying to change the display language.

    PowerShell Set-Culture en-GB
    PowerShell Set-WinSystemLocale en-GB
    PowerShell Set-WinHomeLocation -GeoId 242
    PowerShell Set-WinUserLanguageList en-GB -Force
    pause

    The result is . . .

    Code:
    Windows PowerShell
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

Try the new cross-platform PowerShell https://aka.ms/pscore6

    PS C:\Windows\System32> DISM /online /Get-Intl

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 10.0.18362.1

    Image Version: 10.0.18363.418

    Reporting online international settings.

    Default system UI language : en-US <---------
    System locale : en-GB
Default time zone : GMT Standard Time
    Active keyboard(s) : 0809:00000809, 0409:00000809
Keyboard layered driver : PC/AT Enhanced Keyboard (101/102-Key)

    Installed language(s): en-US <---------

    The operation completed successfully.

Why have I still got en-US entries please.

    @Paul Black,

It looks like you have a few more to change to en-GB.

Just to verify, did you restart the computer after making the changes to fully apply?

Are you able to manually change the display language to en-GB in Settings?

Odd. No en-GB in the Windows Display Language drop menu?

Did you install the en-GB language pack to have it available for a display language?

I downloaded the en-US Pack and Removed en-UK Pack.
I signed-out and back in and then downloaded the en-UK Pack [ I checked the Set as my Display Language box ].
I signed-out and back in and the en-UK Pack was still NOT available in the drop-down.

NOT to worry, I can live with it.

Thanks for your time and help, it is very much appreciated.
