thank you! but not sure why but it didn't seem to do anything for me
is there anyway i can completely get rid of it so it's not even in the windows feature section and delete windows sandbox?

I'm not sure about uninstalling the feature once installed other than doing a system restore using a restore point dated before it was installed.

Otherwise, disabling it will effectively be the same.

Oh yes. A clean install will definitely remove it along with everything else.

Having task manager showing virtualisation enabled I assumed that it was enabled in the BIOS. Can't remember the error code I was having just assumed there was a bug that it wouldn't open. When I eventually checked the BIOS I found it wasn't enabled there. Worked afterwards.

Just to verify, did you do a clean install using the method below?

    Clean Install Windows 10

No. It will not hurt anything to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. It's the same Sandbox feature. Sandbox is already installed in Pro by default. You would just enable or disable it in Pro.

If you like, you can safely leave the feature installed on the Home edition, and just disable it.

    Hi Brink,

I tried your .bat file on Win10 Home and it installed successfully. However, it produces the 0x80072746 error with no way around it. However, I realized that I had a license of Win10 Education and went ahead and upgraded my Home to Education today. Education allows for Windows Sandbox. However, after activating and starting Windows Sandbox, it still produces the 0x80072746 error. I tried removing Sandbox via control panel and re-enabling it, but it didn't work. Any way I can reverse the effects of the .bat you made so that Sandbox works on my Education version?

Could really use your help. Thanks.

    Hello Kies,

It's not just you. Many people have reported Windows Sandbox as broken in version 1903. It looks like we have to wait until it's fixed by an update.

I see, so even for those on Win10 Pro can't run it in 1903?
