Reminder: We need to cancel that Junction Point that we created - for safety. I couldn't see a tutorial for that ...
... TODO: Remove the Junction Point on D:
I couldn't see a tutorial for that in a Google drive????
You mean "in the Tutorial index that is shown at the top of this webpage".

To remove the Redirection point [the Junction, the Link]:-
Step 1 - Get a list of them all so you can see exactly what you have created. Run both Options 1 & 2 for every drive so you can be certain that you've listed them all.
Find All Symbolic Links and Junction Points - ElevenForumTutorials
    - It's the same in Win10 & Win11.
Step 2 - Delete the thing. I have recently done this myself. You just browse to the link [not its Target] in File explorer and delete it.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month.
    - By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at Tutorials - there's also a shortcut to that at the top of every page.
    - Both tutorial lists are searchable.
    - You can also search for TenForumsTutorials in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com/tutorials after your search term. For example,
    taskbar toolbars site:tenforums.com/tutorials

You can search TenForums using the search box in the top-right corner of all TenForums webpages or using Advanced Search - TenForums
    - You can also search TenForums threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com after your search term. For example,
Search for drivers by HardwareID site:tenforums.com
    - [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of TenForums webpages does automatically]

    @hdmi:

    Thanks for your interest.

I apologize, but I don't understand anything in this thread. For me, it's try this and try that. (If I lose everything, all my data files are backed up offline about once per hour.) The good folks here are having a hard time.

All I can say is this:

    - All my vital files are being updated instantaneously - to the nearest second.
    - My Macrium backups are finding the same files that they would be finding if there were no redirection.

    So, "If it ain't broke...."

IMO, I would never have used %APPDATA% if I had not lost my "Location" tab. That's the ideal method for non-techies such as myself.

But - somehow or other - my Location tab re-appeared on C:\Users\Alan\AppData\Roaming. So I immediately used that for the move to D:

Of course, the Location tab is no longer on C:. It's now on D:\AppData-Roaming. That makes sense, because that's where the files are now physically located.

    Sorry I can't help.

    Thanks

That last suggestion was not what you thought.
    %APPDATA% means C:\Users\Alan\AppData\Roaming [not C:\Users\Alan\AppData].
    Just as %USERPROFILE% means C:\Users\Alan

To "summarize", if %username% means Alan, then C:\Users\Alan can be written as C:\Users\%username% or as %userprofile%.
Whereas C:\Users\Alan\AppData\Roaming can be written as C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming or as %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming or as %appdata%.
